Old and outdated name for Chinese export porcelain; Porcelain ware originally made in China during the period of the East India Trading Co. Enriched with motifs such as coats-of-arms, American eagles, hunting scenes, nautical emblems, mythological scenes, etc. reflecting the taste and fashions of the various western markets it was designed for.
