GLOSSARY

Brush Pot

A cylindrical straight sided pot used as a stand for Chinese writing brushes. As an item for the scholar's table it is made in a varity of material such as porcelain, laquer, wood, bamboo, ivory etc. in combinations and in imitations of each other.
