After some discussions I have been asked to and allowed to make public a fake Kraak porcelain charger recently purchased from China.
It might be of interest to notice that rather good Kraak copies are now availably.
The yellowish and wide foot rim being maybe the most obvious clue to its recent date, but also the flat base, the absence of grit around the footrim as well as the week design of the decoration.
If studied one by one the decorations in the panels - except the sun flowers - is also untraditional and actually just made in "Kraak" style, and not really copying anything.
Still, the general design is good even if not good enough to deceive anyone who has studied the subject long enough.
Thank you for your interest.
Best regards,
Jan-Erik Nilsson
